| "Fascination"
was a beautiful, typey, moderate tricolor, with a look
and style reminiscent of her sire,
"NIGHTHAWK". She was our heart dog, our
first sheltie Champion, and a true ambassador to the
breed. She welcomed everyone to our home with
her smiling face, she never met a stranger, and was
loved by everyone who met her.
She
was bred to produce beautiful faces, and that's just
what she did. "Fascination" was
the dam of one Canadian/American Champion, one
Canadian Champion and another daughter has 10 points ,
needing only a judge to finish.
"Fascination"
retired and remained here at
"Highledge" until her death on November 24,
2006. Her legacy will continue here,
and at some of the top Canadian Kennels,
through "Fanfare", (Highledge)
"Serenity", (Bonnyville) "Windchimes" (Alfenloch)
"Rain Dance" (Fairfax) &
"Metallica" (Shelgrande).
At
almost eight years old "Fascination"
came out of retirement to attend the occasional
Specialty. In June of 2003 she was Best Sheltie
Veteran at the Dominion Collie and Shetland Sheepdog
Association. At almost nine years of age in May
of 2004 we hopped on a plane and attended the Canadian
National in New Brunswick, where she placed
third in a large class that had tremendous quality.
(including the ASSA BB winner and a multiple BIS
winning bitch.).
On
Sunday June 6th 2004 she went out to play once more
at the Dominion Collie and Shetland Sheepdog
Association, where she was again Best Veteran and was
also honored with An Award of Merit. This
darling little sheltie just LOVED to show!!!!!!
We thank judge Laura Thompson for our most memorable
win with Serena. One we will cherish forever.
